highways1
Much better intensity out here the last 20 minutes or so, be interesting to see if ORH gets close to their record. Certainly think given the band from earlier this morning that we'll end up in that area in Shrewsbury.
DavisStraight
My side yard must be a giant drift, my 3 foot post and rail fence is totally buried, must be due to the fluffiness of the snow combined with the wind, first time its ever been buried. Must have been a helluva band last night.

SeanInWayland
At approximately 1230am I measured a gust of 81 mph. Not entirely trusting my stuff although it's great.... neighbor also measured 83 mph. His stuff is legit, and he's been measuring here for 16 years. These would be the peak gusts measured here for as long as the homes have been here. There is considerable damage, mostly minor, some broken windows, many ruined fences, sidewall and roof shingles all over the place. This exceeds all prior storms here for damage. And I do believe it beat 05, and some spring rain gales for peak winds. Sorry for not knowing, but where exactly are you Clinch? I have a house in E. Falmouth that I'm concerned about, hence my question.
MainePhotog
Impossible to get accurate measurements. Snowboard is useless in this wind. Peak gust at 11:30 am of 49 mph. At 12:45 pm, I took another 8 measurements with an average of 18.3". Just not comfortable with measuring this way. What else can you do. Another heavy band coming in off the GOM should be here shortly.
dan11295
ORH had a gust to 45 kt an hour ago..not too shabby. Still reporting +SN, despite what the radar shows. Same goes for here. Snowing better than what the radar shows. As for BOS obviously final total will depend on banding location. Right now they are still in nod-heavy band. CoastalWx
Radar beam is overshooting strong 850 inflow. So, it makes the echoes look weaker than they are, echoes below beam.

BostonWX
Temp has dropped to 14.8 in this band, it's just cranking. Nice OES enhancement from South Boston points south.
mahk_webstah
actually getting a burst of heavier snow right now. Our snow growth is fantastic I have to say. I can momentarily imagine what ya'll are seeing as you look out the window.
Hoth
Looks like that band offshore might pivot back west. Slight push back towards the coast evident on radar.

BostonWX
Looks like another surge ready to push west off the ocean What a great storm... Everything wobbles east, but you have great bands that pivot back west, one for the books.

rnaude241
I just got in from snowblowing the driveway for the 3rd time since last night. It's def still 1+ an hour here at TAN, it was coming down so fast it was pointless to keep snowblowing.
J Paul Gordon
I'm guessing close to 30" here and snowing hard again. Drifts are incredible for how much of the yard they fill. Can't see last weekend's snow never mind grass anywhere. Been shoveling here for 18 years and nothing like it in a single storm. That includes a few great ones, 2013 included. There is just nowhere to put it in our urban neighborhood. Depth almost as great as early February 2011--and that was after several major hits. -7C/19F
ORH_wxman
Looks like the band hugging the coast is trying to push back wets a little bit now...we'll see if that comes back far enough to engulf much of E MA again. These bands sort of wax and wane, but there's definitely still some good stuff in there
Baroclinic Zone
Radar beam is overshooting strong 850 inflow. So, it makes the echoes look weaker than they are, echoes below beam. What do you make of the swirl in the GOM that pivoted in? Mesolow? Helping to increase convergence along the coast there at all?
H2Otown_WX
Well, I've lost interest in meteorology due to this storm. It's probably for the best since I am incompetent would never have gotten a good job in the field anyway with my worthless diploma from Western Connecticut State University. Ended up with 5.6" via the snowboard here but I think a little blew off so probably more like 6 or 6.5". The worst bust I've ever seen and it isn't close. Every TV met. should come on air and start with an apology like Geoff Fox in 2010:
jamesnichols89
Wow the snow is unbelievable, nothing like the 05 Blizzard, but better than Nemo and the 1999 Snowstorm.
dendrite
seems that way, but still good snow growth and the hole is filling in....light to moderate building back into the area. maybe it enhances, but we probably get 2-4 more. That would get me close to a foot.Yeah it's picking up again. We'll see.

gymengineer
Boston folk-- how would rank this one compared to 1/05 and 2/13 when you factor in winds/drifting? It looks like they may all end up around the same final total downtown of 26-29." Maybe this one hits 30?
