butterfish55
See if we can pull a Doug Flutie "Hail Mary" here in TAN and get my seasonal snowfall average in one storm. How epic would that be? Then we could go right to spring!
Mr. Windcredible!
LGA airport NYC 2 inches (last hr!) That extremely narrow band of S++ is from like Queens thru N extreme side of Long island and not moving....very cool to see . while S side of NYC sees nada ....jumpin out to an early lead with reports of 3.5" in Northern Queens to Long Island 30-35 dbz there hypnotizing watching the precip south of LI slowly getting better organized. Few more hours and that should be pushing into CT and we'll start to get a better idea of where the best banding may be setting up
jamesnichols89
I could be wrong, and I don't mean to lead people astray, but that was just what I was seeing.
GuitarFreak
Light to moderate snow falling here. Looks like a very powdery snow, very fine flakes. The roads are getting a bit whiter as well. Vis down to 1-2 miles I'd guess. Just a dusting so far.
Baroclinic Zone
My one and only Public Service Announcement: Anyone with a gas vented appliance(Stove, Fireplace, Furnace, etc...) with a pipe low to the ground please make sure that it's clear of snow. We don't need a repeat of Jan 2005 with CO deaths occurring.

loadletterpaper
hypnotizing watching the precip south of LI slowly getting better organized. Few more hours and that should be pushing into CT and we'll start to get a better idea of where the best banding may be setting up Organizing and making a slow crawl north. Sitting in Rocky Point (right on the sound, tick west of due north from OKX). Curious to see how it is when it arrives. Not much here so far. Basically a very fine sugar snow. Haven't yet noticed anyone on the forks with a report as it's pushing in.
snowgeek
Very light snow here with a sugar coating on the ground. 17F / 8F. Dry air is making it hard to get going.....for now. Let's go western fringe!!!!

I would add for those that lose power and have new generators keep it a good couple of feet from any entrances that open directly to the house or attached garages and point the exhaust away.
