That 25 in ORH sounds like a weenie total...though maybe on the extreme SE side of town perhaps. The band has been most intense there and into Shrewsbury/Westborough.

 

Though the way it is snowing, it won't take much longer for that 25 to be accurate everywhere in the city.

Insult to injury, not only did you not get the snow but you must sit in your house and do nothing but watch reporters playing in snow.  I agree the ban should be by county.  Potential problem - many probably have no clue what county they live in.

Somebody just reported 19" here in Andover on Channel 5, and I don't doubt it for a second.  Around 3:30 am., our plow guy came by for his first pass, and I have to go out and meet him, to push snow away from the garage doors as he plows (otherwise, we would have five feet of snow piled up against the doors where he can't reach).  Our driveway is a clear area, and fairly well sheltered, and there was at least a foot OTG at that time.

 

I just got up and went back out again to check, and the driveway is piled up to north of 15" again, maybe 20".  Some of that is drifting, but I think 19-20" is a good call for Andover.  We've been getting pounded with at least 2"/hour stuff since about 1:00 a.m. and it's not letting up at all.

Just went out and measured.  Averaged out to about 18".  Found spots of 16" and spots of 21".  So I'm going with 18".  Which is 6" new in the last hour and a half.

 

That little shack in the center of the image is about 100 yards away.

About 15 minutes ago, this flag is 25 feet from me, sits 2 feet above the ground from its bottom, laying just on top. Not a blurry Ginx pic, actual visibility at the time. Still getting 1-2 per stuff but nothing like during this which was insane.

Moderate snow in Newburyport. Impossible to tell how much with the constant wind and exposed areas. I expected the wind to be gustier by now. If I had to guess we have 10-14". Still waiting for a band to set up over me for this to live up to the hype in my mind.

7.5" here with light snow - lots of drifting. Congrats to those out east - under-performer back this way with regards to short term expectations but pattern looks active.

I think it was channel 7 or 5 who said yesterday afternoon that the Merrimack Valley may outperform southwest of Boston. Watching drifts occur in real time is just awesome.

At least now that Ray finally got into a deform heaven this snowstorm, he won't say it alwas hits central CT or GC every storm anymore.

Boston had a had a 14.5 reading at 6:53. Logan had 11.8" at the same time.

 

It was definitely closer to the 15" reading at 7am here. Keep in mind it has been a whiteout since then.

Hard to tell with the drifts. I'll go out in awhile and measure, but 15" is a good guess.
