Impossible to measure accurately right now, but around 5-6" so far.  Snowing much harder than radar would indicate (and radar looks pretty good!).  Amazing dendrites holding up to the wind fine.  19F

Just went out and the first thing that hit me, was the drifts already. Ohhhh this will be fun.

 

Wind howling N-S down main street here in Melrose.

 

Intensity of the First pulse of that band Waning ever so slightly....near N shore ....Bright yellow returns in Band passing New London wonder if there is TSSN in that

wxniss fwiw, and I am not a fan of the HRRR...it kind of falls apart in the next few hours ala the RGEM and RPM.  Toaster bath for some.

Fairly common as the column saturates. The radar beam is angled, so as you get farther away from the radar location you pick up echoes from clouds or virga at a higher elevation.

 

Everything is going to plan.

 

always thought there were pulses on radar better explained by reflection or somehting along those lines?

Still no snow in South Windham. About 10-15 gusting to 25 i'd say right now. NWS discussion says blocking will move out over the next few hours
