terpsnation
HUGE flakes in Arlington. Everything has caved in, pretty high rates. Little blob of yellow came through from NE DC right down through Arlington. Everything immediately caved with that. Slowed down again a bit here, but everything's sticking from now on at least. 09-10 analogy
Got hit square.. 3/4" in 30 min. Prob past 2"/hr at peak. Come back! 1.5 total. Win. https://twitter.com/islivingston/status/559869979227869186 Wow. It wasn't like that up here, unless there was a burst when I wasn't looking. Ian
DCA is the only place inside of the beltway that's above freezing. But hey, it's "accurate"Looks like it matches results around there. https://twitter.com/checkypantz/status/559872121560915968

Staged
The heaviest band seems to be just west of leesburg now, but good returns look to be rotating in out of the nw. Would be surprised if they didn't top 2" in the next couple of hours. Yeah I was looking at that. Hopefully it keeps up and I can give obs from wv to leesburg

Win. https://twitter.com/islivingston/status/559869979227869186 Glad someone won, I finally turned to snow but it's still hardly doing anything. I sure didn't expect that at this time of night, the west would be doing better than the east.
MacintoshPro
Well, best rates of the season in Arlington. Feel bad for FFX, hard to tell whether the radar will fill in or not

84 Hour NAM
We're doing well in Arlington. I've been maintaining moderate snow with good flake size for over an hour. Probably close to an inch.
WVsnowlover
from the LWX Facebook page: 46 mins · Convergence between coastal storm and disturbance moving east from the upper Ohio valley resulting in a "traffic jam" over area. A band of moderate to heavy snow has resulted just east of the Catoctins, as seen on attached radar image. If you live here, we'd love to know how much snow has fallen. Ribbons of snow like this one may persist through the evening. That band seems to be rotating right over us.
ovechkin
Wish the radar would fill in. Big hole right over some of us. Wish the radar would fill in. Big hole right over some of us. Small band looks like it's coming from NE mont co down to our area. Not like the one 2 hours ago, but may add a touch to what is here.
winterymix
Very interesting how patchy bands are rotating off of the ocean. This screen shot from Dover has black arrows superimposed. Better yet, anyone interested please animate the Dover radar and see for yourself. At the moment, Mt. Holly looks more impressive.

Inverted_Trough
Looks like it matches results around there. https://twitter.com/checkypantz/status/559872121560915968 Except there's a buoy right on the water in that area that's currently 31 degrees, and has been 2-3 degrees colder than DCA all day. WxUSAF
Do you think we get much fill in out our way? Dunno. Short range models do pass another band through, but they're not picking up the frontogen that's causing the heavier stuff to the west, so who knows?
