Fozz
I'm so glad I wasn't expecting 6" the day of the storm like on Boxing Day. Feels exactly the same and will probably end exactly the same.
mitchnick
latest runs of both the HRRR and RAP look d@mn good for tonight....meh, if only they could be right EDIT: I don't think anyone mentioned it, but latest SREFs did have an area of .25"+ between Balt & DC
WEATHER53
Now up to 1.5", snow has never completely stopped, often snizzle, and now light snow with decent flaks and more bands moving in from se-nw. 31*

T. August
Those NYC weenies are nasty. Question NYC's snow forecast and they'll attack as a group.
BlizzardNole
Try having 3 inches for the year. Heck I haven't seen any flakes since early morning. Ouch, sorry about that! I know the pain of lower southern MD well, growing up in Owings. I let my frustration over this one get the best of me. Hopefully we have more chances down the road. Ian
Those NYC weenies are nasty. Question NYC's snow forecast and they'll attack as a group. Snow makes everyone irrational. We'd be hugging the **** out of the NAM if it clocked us at this range.
vastateofmind
I would've 100% felt this way about SNE prior to our winter 2010. And then I had to manually shovel our three MECS (and various in-between events) that season, and I somehow no longer pine for 2-3 feet events like I used to. Would like a bit more than the pittance we're likely to wring out of whatever happens over the next 12 or so hours, but....yeah. I HATE BOSTON

I guess it's easy to see what's unreasonable when you're not in the game.

snowfan
That map won't even come close to verifying. Problem is these bands can be fairly narrow, so its impossible to pin point where they will be. Forces LWX the broad brush the entire area. The average joe pub sees that and assumes that he's getting 2-3 when he might get nothing at all. feloniousq
I haven't believed anything LWX has put out before now for this storm, and I'm not going to start at this stage of the nowcast. I could get a slushy inch tonight, or maybe I can somehow weasel into a band and boom a bit. We'll see.

And what's happening right now is really pretty.
