84 Hour NAM
If we can get a Norlun ala the Philly one from a couple of years ago, NYC and Boston can have the coastal.

Bodhi Cove
No. The thud of a weenie hitting the floor after not seeing as much snow as they wanted Not that it's adding up to much, but it's been snowing here since 7:15 a.m. nonstop (pay no attention to the radar.) HighStakes
Steady light snow now.
Joshfsu123
still light/moderate snow - starting to stick - very light dusting on grass atm
Deck Pic
Hours and hours of snow it's only about 0.17" for DCA between 8pm and 4am, but it is pretty evenly divided among the hours and the band is still going when the run ends...RAP fantasy land, but would make a nice evening to get steady accunulating light snow
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Each time I reload my radar I assume the band is going to die it builds a little to the SW.....sorta nice.

eurojosh
To folks saying the models are rubbish because they can't pin down potential SN- 12 hours out... The way I think of it, if a dog is shaking water off its body, it's easy to pinpoint the dog's head, but not so much every flying scrap of fur. NY-Bos is the head. We're just a flying scrap of fur on the fringes...

real
still light/moderate snow - starting to stick - very light dusting on grass atm Not saying it will be case this time, but this post just gave me flashbacks to the Boxing Day Disaster. In Northwest DC, all night, for hours, there was just a steady, very fine, almost mist-like, snowfall. It was enough to initially leave some hope, but at the end of the night, don't think it ever amounted to more than those wisps of snow left on roads after a brief snow shower. It was almost sort of odd that it could snow for hours, even lightly, and never really amount to anything.
dailylurker
Each time I reload my radar I assume the band is going to die it builds a little to the SW.....sorta nice.It is nice and my temp just dropped to 30.

I always worry about those banding features but the HRRR has it.

colonelaureliano1
Sitting in class at Towson right now, snow has picked up quite a bit over the last hour. Starting to stick to the side roads.
adelphi_sky
32.4F dewpoint 28.4. Moderately snowing. Had a bit of a stiff breeze a few minutes ago. Fattest flakes of the day. Street wanting to turn white. But I imagine that the temp will have to fall another few degrees before that happens along with the continuing rate of snowfall.
