snowfan
If temps cooperate, that area along 66 could do well based on radar trends. Would certainly think IAD could come away with a few inches. Looks like its hitting a wall as it hits the potomac. That said, I've got light snow IMBY.

snowfan
Question for the red taggers......why do we see precip running north out in the mountains and along the eastern shore, but in central MD its a big hole with everything seemingly hitting a wall as it turns north out of VA? Jebman
Washington DC is 32 and steady snow. I'm enjoying steady rain which is moderate at times. There's going to be a massive snowfall gradient somewhere between Dale City and Washington DC lol. I'd trade in an inch of snow accumulations for a 5 degree drop in temps right now, this temp is just STUCK lol.

The short range models have some heavier stuff working into Baltimore and surrounds later today and into tonight. It better or else I will be totally shut-out even after all of the talk about "NE MD."

Jebman
The sun is still very low in the sky in late January. We should have no issues with daytime at all with this storm. Steady moderate rain continues lol.

NorthArlington101
Moderate all snow in N. Arlington. 33. Schools might be screwed. I'm going to one in an hour. The kids will be mad, but even as a student they made the right call. Roads are wet, I don't think there will be a problem during the day today.
