SnowGoose69
You'll probably want the band to clear you by 10-15 miles, anyone who ends up within that distance of the stall on the east side could fall victim to erosion of the band with time later at night. Dino
Finally seeing some REAL deform bands back building in the Atlantic. Storm is definitely slow moving...bands might reach Suffolk in 2 hours maybe?
weathermedic
Looks like the southern portion of that second band is merging with the initial band right over southern Queens and Brooklyn

weatherpruf
Lotta wind, light snow in Woodbridge, just across from SI. Not much accum. No bands as of yet. Just reporting the way it is.
anemone
It looks like two deformation bands are converging over Brooklyn. It should prolong the heavy snow a bit.

SnowGoose69
Before anyone says it who is looking at that Upton radar, no the band did not weaken, you have to switch to Mt Holly to get the full view of it now once it enters Brooklyn, as always the Mt Holly radar is usually better for viewing echoes over NYC itself. LongBeachSurfFreak
So close to here. Where the deform sets up and stays someone verifies the 24-36" Still light to moderate in the city. Good news is I can't see New Jersey from the 13th floor anymore
weatherpruf
Almost there! Good luck NYC! RAD_KDIX_N0R_ANI (2).gif Almost there! Good luck NYC! RAD_KDIX_N0R_ANI (2).gif that radar shows my area to be omn the very fringe. That band will have to cross SI and the Arthur Kill to get over here. ILoveWinter
Seems to be such a painfully slow march west! Perhaps thats a sure sign of a prolonged event, though for everyones sake I hope it has success in making it thru NYC and as much of NJ/Rockland/Orange as possible. Not as high resolution but I like to use the JFK terminal Doppler radar site off of weathertap (paid subscription) It's located in Floyd Bennett Field which is right across Jamaica Bay from JFK's tower
