LHSnow
Yes...I'd love to go up to Jaynes Hill for this one... We have about 5 inches in North East Nassau - Laurel Hollow.
NYC Weather Lover
Measured 6 inches just a short time ago here in Hicksville. I got really lucky, got into that heavy band for a couple of hours.
NJWxWatcher201
Wow the leading edge making its way towards jersey is reflecting some rapid strengthening . once this makes it there this nay say talk will stop. Remember the Nam had some impressive reflections over jersey. This is exactly what's approaching now

Guest Pamela
If you keep calling it that we'll get nothing. Little known fact...after the 1978 storm...sanitation workers who drove the plows nicknamed it some very similar name which I've spent the last 5 minutes googling (I think it was Orca...the Killer Storm)...but to no avail. pazzo83
After a great start in the city, it's like they closed the roof over Manhattan, the Bronx and Westchester. It's amazing. Still light to mod snow on the east side. You can see Queens getting less visible across the river.

weatherweather
under that mod band in north monmouth ripping decently, sadly it will be shortlived edit unless that band offshore keeps coming west and doesnt weaken
Sickman
Very difficult to estimate here with the blowing and drifting, but 4-5" as reported elsewhere looks about right. I also benefited from that quasi-lake-effect band that sat over me this afternoon.
chietanen
The radar southeast of LI looks very impressive. Wherever that ends up is going to get smoked. Looks like Suffolk County possibly.

Allsnow
are you in Edison? I have 3 barely so I guess you can see already that there is going to be a tight gradient with amounts as you go west through NJ Yes. That band say over us for a bit...it had nothing to do with the actual bands from the storm.

Nibor
I don't know why some people are freaking out. The radar looks great. The back edge is definitely a sharp cut off but there are some bands in there moving at lightning speeds west.

winterwarlock
the RAP and HRRR are basically nothing away from eastern NJ the explanations that TWC gave just now using a blend of the three models and relying a lot on the rrpm seemed to make sense with their forecast
