I'm really wondering why some models reserve the heavy precip so much when the storm looks so impressive aloft. To me it just doesn't make sense.

NAM suggests this stalls and pivots a bit near LI before exiting.  That's a Boxing Day Redux on steroids.

 

However I believe it's totals are too extreme.  I can't back off my bear-hug of the Euro now or weenie-cast the model with the most snow.

I have found down here in NC that the High Res. Models are good only 3 to 6 hr out. I feel that with the actual real time data being more west and quicker to go neg. that it would make sense that you guys will get hammered.convective feedback can work both ways, but being closer to the storm i think it will work you for you guys to see higher totals.Good luck
