RUMG11
One more NAM and euro run and we'll see those numbers amped, as well as the rest of NJ seeing blizzard watches. Sing the euros praises yet again. It was spot on.
stlirish
The weather channel has NYC metro in 18-24 now In line with the most updated call from NWS of 1'-2' for NYC Metro. In fact, TWC had those numbers first and I must say I've been rather impressed with their coverage so far. tdp146
These are still conservative imo They will update it. I'm sure they are busy over there and wanted to push that blizzard watch out into NYC first.

SnoSki14
And middlesex! Just saw it and couldn't believe it. Currently forecast is 10-18" which may be conservative.
SnowGoose69
The RGEM is now east of the NAM LOL....I'd say don't worry as its fairly far out, even now it appears to show 10-12 inches through 48, more on LI, much less west of NYC
sferic
This is surreal. How high can the numbers get for NYC/LI?

RGEM is usually very good so it is a little bit of a concern
SnowGoose69
Don't like the rgem being east makes me very nervous in nj Its not so much its east as it does not really have heavy banding down into NYC and NJ, it only has it over NE, the snow though is back into E PA. SnoSki14
Don't like the rgem being east makes me very nervous in nj It has a very short accurate range. The banding is the issue not the track as it's inside the BM.

IntenseBlizzard2014
Yeah it didn't exactly cut amounts.....but just isn't improved. RGEM is usually very good so it is a little bit of a concern It's not really a concern. It's not in range yet. So it's basically like the NAM before it gets in range. RUMG11
Are we even in the RGEM's preferred optimal range?
allgame830
Yeah it didn't exactly cut amounts.....but just isn't improved. RGEM is usually very good so it is a little bit of a concern the storm continues after hr 48 so there would be more on top of that...

wthrmn654
How will this relate or compare to the huge 3 foot snow we had after sandy!?
IsentropicLift
The problem with NJ is that on a lot of the short range modeling they completely miss the CCB. All the snow is from the initial over running.
Nygmen
RGEM is a huge hit for Li and good one for nyc...actually appears slightly west of the NAM just not as much as a precip shield...wouldnt worry about that at all
SnowGoose69
Are we even in the RGEM's preferred optimal range? No, use it for tomorrow's forecast strictly at this point, it shows about 3-4 inches near NYC during tomorrow through early evening.
SnowGoose69
The RGEM is .90 for NYC through 48 hours and about 1.5 for ERN LI

jm1220
How will this relate or compare to the huge 3 foot snow we had after sandy!? ??? You mean the 6" snow event a week after? Or you mean 2/8/13? If you mean the second one, this one will be quite similar but longer lasting out by you.
