In line with the most updated call from NWS of 1'-2' for NYC Metro. In fact, TWC had those numbers first and I must say I've been rather impressed with their coverage so far.

Just saw it and couldn't believe it. Currently forecast is 10-18" which may be conservative.

The RGEM is now east of the NAM LOL....I'd say don't worry as its fairly far out, even now it appears to show 10-12 inches through 48, more on LI, much less west of NYC

Yeah it didn't exactly cut amounts.....but just isn't improved. RGEM is usually very good so it is a little bit of a concern

Its not so much its east as it does not really have heavy banding down into NYC and NJ, it only has it over NE, the snow though is back into E PA.

It has a very short accurate range. The banding is the issue not the track as it's inside the BM.

It's not really a concern. It's not in range yet. So it's basically like the NAM before it gets in range.

the storm continues after hr 48 so there would be more on top of that...

The problem with NJ is that on a lot of the short range modeling they completely miss the CCB. All the snow is from the initial over running.

RGEM is a huge hit for Li and good one for nyc...actually appears slightly west of the NAM just not as much as a precip shield...wouldnt worry about that at all

No, use it for tomorrow's forecast strictly at this point, it shows about 3-4 inches near NYC during tomorrow through early evening.

The RGEM is .90 for NYC through 48 hours and about 1.5 for ERN LI

You mean the 6" snow event a week after? Or you mean 2/8/13? If you mean the second one, this one will be quite similar but longer lasting out by you.
