* LOCATIONS...NEW YORK CITY AND SURROUNDING IMMEDIATE
SUBURBS...LONG ISLAND...AND MOST OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WITH BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 20 TO 30 INCHES...WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 TO 4
INCHES PER HOUR EXPECTED LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING.

Two things:

 

1) De Blasio sounding the alarm in an incredible way, but seems very warranted.

 

2) TWC should be absolutely ashamed. They still have "how planes crash," and on their website they say they will have "special coverage of how Winter Storm Juno will effect [sic] you at 7 PM." Incredible.

This.  I never ever watch TWC anymore, except when there's a historical weather event about to unfold or is unfolding.

 

The fact that from NYC to BOS is forecast to get 24-36", and The WEATHER Channel is playing old episodes of random shows is just ridiculous.  Shows how far they've fallen.
