Chrisrotary12
Am I the only one who kind of hopes that this storm shows a Euro like evolution at the longitude that the NAM is? There are going to be more than a handful of disappointed weenies if the storm evolves exactly like the Euro for this reason:
CoastalWx
The only model that would even come close to tainting you is the gfs. I had a bit of concern about that as well, but ultimately, I find it hard to believe taint makes it much further than the canal I still would keep that in mind. This thing is gonna be strong and have the potential to kick back a it.

Arnold214
Exactly. I know that, but noone wants to hear that in this threadi'm not a big fan of the euro solution up this way. It would basically boil down to a sw flow event (in this case south) on steroids.

codfishsnowman
its eerie how he said those colors would appear before winter was over....on the snowfall maps...have to give him credit for that and for being optimistic when many of us were pulling down the shades and getting out the razor blades
Chrisrotary12
Exactly. I know that, but noone wants to hear that in this thread I know. Funny as this sounds......our best case scenario for the masses would probably be a storm like the 06z GFS. Dry slot gets to like the pike but collapses back east during the afternoon. CT Rain
Exactly. I know that, but noone wants to hear that in this thread Though a lot of it has already fallen by 18z Tuesday. That's a pretty hellacious thump prior to that.
40/70 Benchmark
I'd like that NAM to verify. Plenty of upside on the w periphery of heavy snowfall, east not so much

CoastalWx
I still think there may be two types of things going Tuesday. The banding out west and then the lower level stuff somewhere to the east. That mid level dryslot will be a factor depending on the track obviously. Clinch Leatherwood
I think we will see consensus build this run as west models come east a tick, east models come west like the NAM is doing now. The hook and roll may be too extreme on some of the west runs, but we will see shortly.

I dunno, 13 inches of snow followed by freezing drizzle at 12 degrees followed by a washed up ccb just doesn't seem to do it for me when its vomiting parachutes from nyc to pou.
