SnowGoose69
The sharp edge the snow shield has taken on in the last 45 minutes can sometimes be an indicator a mesoscale band is trying to develop..the decrease echoes south of that to the NW of ACY are noticeable too. friedmators
Roads are getting covered in East Windsor. Hoping those extremely heavy echoes to my SW end up as snow up here and not sleet.
RU848789
Yay!! Flurries just started here in Metuchen (25 miles SW of CPK) with temps down to 33F - love that evaporational cooling, as it was 36F a couple of hours ago. My guess is 2" of snow, followed by 1/2" of sleet, then 1/4" of rain (including maybe a little bit of freezing rain), and ending with 1/2" of wrap around snow. Rain will be largely absorbed (except on roads, which will see more melting, due to traffic and the indirect sunlight and especially if treated) and the whole slushy mess will freeze solid tomorrow night. RU848789
Heavy sleet line from NW to SE, running through Philly, as per the radar and reports all over that area. Hoping it doesn't get up here too quickly, as that would definitely keep snowfall amounts under 2", I'm sure...
