Morch Madness
So is there the chance we don't get an inch from this in sepa? No.
Bluescat1
Question for a met, what effect will the energy diving down the back side of the trough have on the Atlantic storm?
atownwxwatcher
I don't see inland locations getting what the NWS is calling for. There is just no real western side to this storm system. Its not going to matter whether the storm has formed further west with no real moisture on the west side.

GD0815
Why are people freaking out? Those to the W and S were supposed to get screwed....give it time otherwise. it is getting near crunch time, though, if this is coming west enough to impact much of the area, we will need to see the signs soon. and it isn't as if there isn't plenty of guidance saying it won't happen

NortheastPAWx
I thought I was in the NY forum for a second.... No forum will ever be as bad as that one, complaining over potentially getting 17" of snow...
Harbourton
Check the water vapor loop. Moisture streaming south to north with no movement to the west which would indicate banding that would influence western NJ and eastern PA.
jwilson
I don't think you guys have to worry. If nothing else, you can at least be glad you weren't forecast for 4-6" and got nothing. It is times like these I miss living on the coast - or at least much closer to it.

Treckasec2
Really worried about this. So many models against snow, though what seems to be coming our way looks very promising. I really really hope that we get the snow we want, but I think the models are seeing something we can't.
GD0815
This is going to go down as a bigger bust than 3/6/2001 No way, not for this area. There was always a chance it wasn't going to be a big deal here. If the storm busts all the way up the coast, then maybe it can be discussed, but as of now, no way

NortheastPAWx
RPM just now via TWC: Damn, what a mess.. As much as I'd hate to say it on the NYC forum, the RPM was spot on here...WYOU/Eyewitness News ran it at noon and it only predicted another inch or so for us. Pretty much nailed it...only got 2" total today.
