jm1220
Def going going to be a boxing day type cutoff in totals...Very sharp gradient These bombing ocean lows always have sharp cutoffs. They create tremendous lift which means just to the west of that there's sinking air and no snow. That's why these systems are also very banded in nature. Boxing Day drove us crazy east of NYC with navigating through the bands.

Heisy
Something that needs to be brought up is the precip field on the models today. The precip shield may end up looking like Boxing Day or Dec 30 2000. I expect there to be a very sharp cutoff to the western edge of the precip. Could be some screw zones in PA

Could be some screw zones in PA There will almost certainly be an area (whether it's NYC, or I-287, or the Poconos) that get completely shafted while 50 miles east easily gets over a foot. Always happens in these storms.

jm1220
Is it possible to get NAM'd if it's 6z? I'm pretty sure it was a 6z NAM run that showed the 6" liquid over N NJ 36 hours before 2/8/13 hit. It was especially comical watching the news and seeing them run the RPS that showed Central Park taking 30".
SnowGoose69
The GEM and UKMET are out in the next 20, assuming the GEM is not late since its predecessor the RGEM was. I think the GGEM will be a big hit since it tends to run close in the 48-72 range to what the RGEM shows at the end of its range.
