PhineasC
psuhoffman worried about being fringed. We must have a real storm here, folks.
Huffwx
Maybe from a totals perspective, but it sure seems like storms evolve differently down there and you get snow from all sorts of weird things that never give most of the forum snow. Strange Tennessee Valley and inland runner stuff. True but that's not a SE forum...they go years without a decent event

wawarriors4
I was thinking the same thing lol. RGEM is fine. I wish I knew how to feel about EZF, not sure if I should be more worried about temps or not getting any QPF....anybody have any insight on that. Right now I am leaning Temps.... 84 Hour NAM
True but that's not a SE forum...they go years without a decent event NW NC and SW VA need their own forum. Similar climates.
Deck Pic
I'd much rather the SW VA crew participate here than these people who live 30 miles from Philly
MacintoshPro
Better to be more south than more north. More south means colder temps, which is the no. 1 bust factor and most important detail of any winter storm in the area.
psuhoffman
psuhoffman worried about being fringed. We must have a real storm here, folks. Not worried yet. Models can't get the details on this yet but pointing out someone will probably get fringed in our area. It's suck a small area that gets good qpf that someone won't be happy when it's over. No idea where that is yet just wish this was a more expansive system. Like today if we had any darn cold air.

Right now I am leaning Temps.... You'll lose more on the front end to rain than those just to your north in DC but I don't think this will be a northern area event in terms of QPF bullseye. I could be wrong, but I think somewhere down near EZF-ish will be the bullseye in terms of QPF max...just my two cents.

usedtobe
OK GFS, you can't stop digging south now The back end digs too much and gives us a positive tilt system and that's why the precipitation dies instead of NAMing. Still would probably give us 2-4 inches.
