yoda
I am trying keeping this quiet from the "snow crowd" at work... Anyway, looks pretty nice for a extended snowfall
mappy
Anytime you can pick up 3-6 and not worry about wasting qpf. it's a great storm. Id like it to come north some
Bob Chill
If someone actually can complain about this, they should reconsider why they are here

Sparky
Is it just me or is this becoming like 1/21 last year? gave me 11 inches.
T. August
If someone actually can complain about this, they should reconsider why they are here clippermadness.JPG Looks good. It's not like I thought the MBY jackpot was going to hold on 12z As long as the track is good, we can solve QPF distribution over the weekend. ravensrule
If someone actually can complain about this, they should reconsider why they are here clippermadness.JPG I can't remember the last time we had a storm that lasted this long. This would be an awesome storm.
Fozz
I'm wondering if this will become the rare 4-6" storm that doesn't need a warning because it has such a long duration.
Interstate
I'm wondering if this will become the rare 4-6" storm that doesn't need a warning because it has such a long duration. Well the SHA should not have a problem keeping up

Amped
2nd ull could keep the Norlun going even longer, in case Norluns aren't persistent enough for anyone.
Sparky
I might be able to sweep this powder with the broom too.
CAPE
I'm wondering if this will become the rare 4-6" storm that doesn't need a warning because of its duration. There is no way this verifies verbatim. Plus Richmond area is the jackpot, and we know thats not happening.
lsukev
What would be even more awesome if the GFS comes in with the same track but wetter at 18z.
loshjott
So, a 6:30am flight on Monday out of DCA looks problematic?
Bob Chill
I can't remember the last time we had a storm that lasted this long. This would be an awesome storm. I'm not sure I buy the duration tbh. A lot of it on this run had to do with the kicker joining the inv trough keeping things going. The whole evolution has many directions it can go. I would say a 2-4" deal for most of the subforum is pretty likely with some upside. This doesn't really have the feel of a bust or 1-2" non event. If the vort keeps digging south we could be in trouble. But we're at pretty close range now so hopefully that's a non-issue.

Scarlet Pimpernel
If someone actually can complain about this, they should reconsider why they are here clippermadness.JPG If it happens like that, absolutely no complaints! And it would be pure powder too. Maybe Ji can consider it an appetizer for the early February Ji HECS fantasy storm.
EastCoast NPZ
Verbatim it looks nice... but when was the last time it snowed for 36 hours around here? And I'm not sold on daytime accumulations with rates that light, unless temps are solidly below 28F or so.

snowfan
Many of us had the same worry for this week's clipper and it worked out well for a lot of us. osfan24
Seems weird to me that it snows for that period of time and all we get is 6 inches? That's like 36 hours of snow if correct. It must be really light or intermittent snow.

T. August
I'd still take this run in a heartbeat, but up this way it's not nearly as good as 06z. 06z had over .9" liquid, with 12z giving APG less than .3".
