stormtracker
Yeah, it backed off QPF quite a bit from 6z Hmm
Ji
how far south do we want it lol. I dont want to end up like NYC weenies who are melting down today because their 12z blizzard yesterday turned into partly cloudy
usedtobe
It's good, but oddly enough, a bit drier than 6z and that had a more northern vort pass The vort and low almost pass too far south kind of like the Euro.

Bob Chill
Damn, that vort pass is going to be a beaut. I honestly would like to see it go even further south for insurance with the inevitable north correction as we get close. Get that 540 contour to close off over the nc/va border and we really go boom. Great run either way.
packbacker
I'm pretty sure nearly100% of our climo and climo+ winters include one good or multiple clippers. That was a nice run, perfect track for you guys, just needs to juice it up a bit. Plenty cold too and long duration snow, should be a fun morning commute. Deck Pic
one nice thing about a southern track is we don't waste any time on the front end with rain or 38 and melting flakes.....we'd actually get to watch it snow Sunday afternoon/evening
packbacker
we cant do anything right It snows for like 24-30 hours on the GFS for you guys. That not good enough?

Bob Chill
And the kicker looks to be a second event. Or just one 2 day event with snow falling and temps below freezing.

Don't know what the accumulations are, but 2 to 4 or even 3 to 5 isn't out of the question. YOu wouldn't be happy with that?!?

We'd probably do a bit better than that with ratios.
Bob Chill
Well damn, I didn't even notice the qpf past like 75 hours. Whoa If it actually happened as advertised on the gfs, this would be a very memorable event. Looks like 6" of high ratio stuff in DC over 2 days. Winter wonderland kinda stuff. HighStakes
Anytime you can pick up 3-6 and not worry about wasting qpf. it's a great storm.
clueless
I would rather go cold with less moisture. Quality flakes and stickage. Nice bulls eye. Hope it holds.
