Cold Miser
I hate being on the coast sometimes, we never catch a break when we want it to snow and then it snows when we don't want it to snow. Oh well. When don't you want it to snow? I don't think I've ever run into such a qaundary before.
CoastalWx
1/26-27, 2011 was kind of like that...though not quite as defined of a low N of Montreal as this one, but it didn't have high pressure up there. I also remember 12/9/05 had low pressure up there...though that system was a bit different than this one. Obviously nuked out. It's certainly not a textbook way of getting snow for sure. Not that it can't happen, but a bit odd.
weathafella
Looking at the hi-res maps on weatherbell it's all snow for BOS/PVD, basically anywhere SE of there will have taint issues but still gets warning snows on the backside. Meanwhile, the 12z GEFS is 988 right on the BM. I think GEFS may be JUST SE of the bm but stable per prior runs. This ones coming. I'm more worried about taint than a miss by a wide margin. HoarfrostHubb
I was in New Jersey. 2 feet. Our forecast the night before was 2-5 then rain. But you may be thinking of the 100 hour storm about 2 weeks later. Nope For once I know the difference between the 2 I was too young to remember either, but I have read up on the Lindsay storm
SR Airglow
I think GEFS may be JUST SE of the bm but stable per prior runs. This ones coming. weathafella
Considering all but gfs is a major hit I will be shocked if there is much change on the euro. If anything it may comes tad west but I'm hoping it stays put for selfish reasons.
DiehardFF
Moving back into school at New Haven today. Only a ice mess sunday morning, and light snow events, no big events over break back at home. However, it seems New Haven may be busy this weekend and possibly next week. CMC crushes a lot of CT. It's fine, I'm just a big fan of the look here. Inland would be better. http://mp1.met.psu.edu/~fxg1/NARR/2003/us0207.php
