I couldn't agree with that fine line on the western end of the 5+ any better. Moosup > Tolland.

4-8 from Gay to ORH to HFD to HVN and east to 495 and north agsin.. A few places in that Box see a 10. Outside of that area 3-6

A lot of people not from CT think Putnam and N Windham Cty think there's alot of elevation there. There's really not. Only Woodstock/ Ashford over to Union. In fact , many times there's a local min over that area around Putnam

I thought about including BOS in the 6-10" but I think they might see 4-7" so they are on the 6" which is the median already anyways so I kept them out of it. I am most concerned with interior SE MA busting high and E CT busting low.

I just don't like the thought of BOS in a marginal setup. Could bust high but I like 3-6 in the city and most of SE MA away from the torch oceanic locales.

I honestly don't see a big marine issue except maybe the beaches down in pym county. Winds are light and then go north quickly. It's the layer aloft where it's tricky.

I'll sketch something out for the region as a whole later probably just for fun(Or at least throw up some text numbers), but I need a break from models after spending the last five hours getting the discussion/map together lol. Off to Metrorock, I'll make sure to bring some ice cubes to the top of the climbs to cool the column(Hey, when it's marginal, every bit counts ).

Here's my first crack at a snowfall map. I don't have thousands watching my forecast like Ryan so I'm a little more bullish. I just think the warm air aloft is full of sh1t and will dynamically cool.

Eh, winds go quickly 360 and then NNW. Maybe for a few hours it's very light NNE.  It's more an issue maybe down the coast, but I can tell you that if 850 was like -2C..zero problem here.

Part of me wonders if we see the mid levels cool on the models prior to the storm. Seems way too torchy aloft

there are 725 ft hills a half mile to my NW that aren't in that map but that's just a generalized area map not meant to be an elevation map.

Yeah surprised at anything over 10". I think 10" will be about the highest measurement unless a band goes bonkers somewhere with the ccb.

Yeah, that's our biggest problem right now. It could be anywhere from NE MA to dead center of Eastern Mass near BOS. Others have beaten a dead horse about how slight track differences could mean everything in this one but it can't be overstressed.

oh I didn't think you taint. Only reason a bit less is due to warmer BL for a time

Funny thing about the EURO is it has BOS on the edge of mixing but 850's below 0c from LI to New Haven to Providence. Anyone else seeing that? Can you say dynamic cooling?
