CoastalWx
Euro totally lost that bitter cold blast days 9-10. Did the ENS too? It's very cold then, but nothing record breaking.

Baroclinic Zone
Don't look now but models look a lot better for Friday event. Friday looks like a light clipper event. 2-4/ 3-6" type deal right now with a late bloom for DE ME. Best snows in NNE. Early February system looks SWFish at this point. Could be messy. Yeah..high end advisory..3-6..but a wetter snow as temps should be near 30 Super bowol system looks like all snow to me

South coastal areas are close. Could be a sizable system though.
Professional Lurker
Yes, there definitely appear to be some legit chances in the near future. ... which is good for you guys out east (keep your roof rakes handy) and great for us here out west si we can forget about this debacle. moneypitmike
Don't look now but models look a lot better for Friday event. I'm looking forward to the arrival of met fall 2015. This winter has been too sucky to even want to look at modeled snow anymore. I'm done.

powderfreak
Good looking clipper coming later in the week... that has 3-6" written all over it. Then that was a great solution for the day 6-7 storm for up here on the EURO. Looks SWFE-ish in SNE, and a good warning criteria hit for CNE/NNE. powderfreak
Better for snow chances Oh I totally agree. The less the cold the more it helps us. You can already see that on the EURO and GFS runs to day 10.

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
We dont need brutal cold in Feb. Just cold enough. And right now I have lost faith in the euro so honestly I could give two chits about what it shows.

Euro still sniffed this event out a solid 12-18 hours before the rest of them. It just got a little too bomb happy.
