jnis
Haha. I figured as much. Hopefully when the heavier echoes move back over you guys, you can flip back to snow. Little bit of a break in the action right now. Yeah, I'm hoping for a switch back to snow...but I'm not counting on it... I think I will put my hop in Sun/Mon lol... Eta.. lol my hop is in my beer...my hope is in Sun. p.m.
North Balti Zen
Rain, I would guess. we are going to have to get hurrying to get to 2-4 inches of snow...
CAPE
Great job by the NAM, LOL. I think most of us got even less snow than we thought we would. Even the lower-end forecasts are all major busts. Is anyone even going get a half inch? In the words of the cheater, "We're on to the Monday storm." Seeing the 850 0c line rapidly retreat north of the PA border on the models is never a good sign. With nothing but low pressure to the north and the nearest high to the east, the low end of forecasted snow/sleet in most places was pretty much a given. Still smh at the NWS, though. Gonna be tough to live that one down.
T. August
How many acres do you have there? Is the house on the north or south 40? Just shy of 2 acres. It's south of Rt. 40. East of Aberdeen, and south of Havre de Grace. The microclimate is crazy... Anyway, it's still sleet here.
Deck Pic
i'm curious about the heavy stuff even here in UHI hell....34 and rain here, but the 02z RAP sounding is close to snow if it is heavy enough. Assuming it initialized properly, it shouldn't be too far off
heavy_wx
Really strong returns! That is the melting layer bright band. You can tell because correlation coefficient is reduced and ZDR is elevated within those higher reflectivity values.

Is anyone even going get a half inch? In the words of the cheater, "We're on to the Monday storm." I love the NAM for a lot of things but it seems maybe someday people should realize how it's often totally useless for winter storms.. especially when it's on its own.
