AlaskaETC
Mostly if not all rain on the euro. Yeah, looks really ugly for us. 850s are a bit warm and the snowfall maps I am seeing show nothing. 2m Temps also a bit warm.
stormtracker
Mostly if not all rain on the euro. Done deal here. This is frustrating, but not ready to quit yet. On to the Sunday/Monday thing.
Bob Chill
Done deal here. This is frustrating, but not ready to quit yet. On to the Sunday/Monday thing. You asked me how many coastals with a low instead of a high to the north produced snow a couple days ago. I couldn't think of any. Someone brought up Jan 87 so it's apparently possible but just very improbable. I never expected all or good snow. Was just hoping to score a couple inches. Which still can't be ruled out but looks like we have tight consensus now.
clskinsfan
I only have the free stuff. But at 48 I would assume its snow in the western burbs. The track looks good and the 850 seems to run right through Loudoun County?

usedtobe
Everyone has already decided this is plain rain. I don't think that is true for the far northern and western suburbs. They could see accumulations.
WVclimo
From Wunderground's maps, the 0C line at 850 flirts with my area briefly, but never pushes through. Surface is marginal, maybe a bit above freezing. Not sure about the resolution on those maps though. Looks like snow to sleet for here.

lsukev
Let's hope the NAM doesn't change its tune. I don't even want the hope.
Wonderdog
this run is better for Loudoun County than last night...its still a very close call Ji, a few MB weakening of the GLL and taking in consideration the warm bias of the GFS lets me think that Loudon County and western PW county may keep us in the game for something measurable. lsukev
The NAM looks colder. Too bad it's the NAM. DCA below 0 on 850's with precip overhead at 36hrs.
NinjaWarrior2
NAM is slightly warmer with less snow and more rain. Not a huge difference though. 850s are warmer west of DC, about the same east. NAM at hr 30 850mb 0c line is south of most models. Only difference on this run is probably a tighter rain/snow line with slightly more rain for the Northern VA into Central MD areas. lsukev
NAM is warmer I was looking at hrs 30 and 33. It is warmer at 36 and beyond. You are correct.
