DDweatherman
Snowing nicely in Dundalk at the moment, around 32.5. Sticking to the grass and rooftops as well. Waiting for the sidewalks to give way. Decent rates nonetheless and radar looks solid.
T. August
Very light snow has commenced. About time lol!

Joshfsu123
Very nice rates continue... the ground is really giving way to snow now. Started to turn white really over the past 10 minutes or so... and car tops are also starting to get covered, with some of the side sidewalks. EastCoast NPZ
Might've had 1/2 inch at the height on elevated surfaces. North side of buildings seemed to have more than that. Anything in view of the sun is practically all gone already. Even in mid-late Jan the sun is significant unless the air temps are solidly below freezing. Pretty crappy event here. snowfan
Heavier now. Accumulating on most surfaces.

Ian
Sticking here. every time we try to use the HRRR seems like we get fooled. I think there is probably truth to them not doing well before precip develops. HRRR in particular was developed as a severe weather model I think no? Euro and GFS were lock step for the most part outside some details.. ride that horse every day.

MN Transplant
it was terrible this storm...RAP too... The big problem with the RR/HRRR is that the resolution is good enough that it makes you think that maybe it can get where the banding will set up. Then it doesn't.
