The Dude
Radar suggests mega-rippage at the 270/495 junction. I should have worked from home today. Looks like about 1/2 inch from the traffic camera. Here in DC, steady snow, but not much stickage.
StudentOfClimatology
Heaviest snow of the season here, though that's not saying much at this point.

arlwx
If this was colder, I would be unhappy. Vis down to a quarter-mile.
North Balti Zen
I work 20 floors up - visibility at 1/2 a mile in downtown Baltimore, tops. Nice rates. Walks still wet, grass area whitening up.

snowfan
Correct. Last time we truly ripped was overnight of the 2/13 storm last year. I think people might have a different definition of rippage than I do. It is snowing nicely, but visibilities are definitely above 1/2mi. edit - temp has plateaued at 34.
dallen7908
In last minute, shifted from pouring snow to bigger size flakes and stickage beginning (College Park)

StudentOfClimatology
really? we had less than 1/2 mi for some of the clipper.... Never got that intense here, maybe 3/4mi at best. I did sleep through some of it, though.
DDweatherman
Correct. Last time we truly ripped was overnight of the 2/13 storm last year. I'd like to think I ripped in the st.patty's storm last year. About 7.5" here if I remember correctly.

It is snowing nicely, but visibilities are definitely above 1/2mi. edit - temp has plateaued at 34.4 i still call whats falling here mod snow but that's mainly due to the size of the flakes being large

09-10 analogy
If the night of Feb 5 '10 was a "5" and a "1" is ... well, a typical clipper around here, I'd say this Is (was, it's let up a bit) around a 2.5. The East German judges might think differently, though.

North Balti Zen
With better temps, this would have really piled up. Pretty in any event. Accumulating on rooftops and raised surfaces.
