Thunder Road
...is the one from January, 2005, right? 11.2" in Chiacgo? If so, I'll throw together a few maps for the anniversary next week. (I remember it as the nor'easter that it developed into - 13" at home outside of Philly.)

michsnowfreak
This storm was great because way more snow fell than forecast. Whiteouts in the morning.
stormtrackertf
This storm was great because way more snow fell than forecast. Whiteouts in the morning. It was frigid during the storm if I remember correctly too. Like mid-upper single digits.
cyclone77
I guess there's more than one super clipper. I remember calling the 12/3/10 a super clipper. That one dropped almost a foot of snow here. Best clipper event of my life hands down.

Chinook
Another view of the snowfall from the Super Clipper (2005). It wasn't just a clipper, it ranks #7 on the NESIS list at the NCDC web site, due to the fact that it hit many population centers very well. http://www1.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/cmb/images/snow/nesis/20050121-20050124-6.80.jpg

Ajdos
I remember that system very well.. Call was 3-7" woke up to a blizzard outside, 2-3PH snowfall rates. It was very cold tho, temps were in the single digits. I remember measuring drifts of 20", average was around 14" IMBY. One of my top favorite storms for sure.
