Ginx snewx
It was very borderline and wound up ticking colder at last moment.c'mon, let's look beyond model wobbles. Crashing heights on a bombing SW. 530 heights, that will snow on the spine at elevation in Jan 9.9 times out of 10. Was the reason BTV has mentioned heavy elevation snow for five days. Crashing heights on a bombing SW. 530 heights, that will snow on the spine at elevation in Jan 9.9 times out of 10. Was the reason BTV has mentioned heavy elevation snow for five days. Yeah it was borderline... And this storm could have easily been weaker/less dynamic with a warm boundary layer and low 540ish thickness.

wxeyeNH
Our all day ice storm has ended. Temp past hour jumped to 35.4F wind roaring in the trees up here at 1100 feet. Side roads are still glare ice since the ground is so cold. Now awaiting a slug of heavy rain and then will it change to snow before ending? ENYsnow
38F snd steady rain here in Albany. no surprises after seeing the 00z ALB sounding. A few days ago it looked like a possibility of some accumulations on the backend but there's just no cold air to speak of in the boundary layer.
