SnowtoRain
In other weather news, exceeded 65" of rain on the year with today's rain, Weds should help pad these rain numbers.
SnowtoRain
StarDem just reported there are brining crews on the roads today Maryland Department of Transportation and State Highway Administration in Easton, joins a team that began brining operations the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 15, from a staging area at U.S. Routes 50 and 404 in Wye Mills. Absurd. They got plenty of that awful shit, and they are gonna use it. And they clearly must be lacking for other more useful tasks.

Temp dropped quick 30.7/25 - wonder how fast the cold air will be pushed out tomorrow.

SnowtoRain
So this storm has behaved just as expected, 34 and rain. Anything to look forward to on the horizon?
Prestige Worldwide
Some quick cold around Christmas then really nothing noteworthy ( as of now). I heard the weeklies end winter in mid January so we need to score soon. Or else shutout city once again.
SnowtoRain
1.39" from the storm, 67.50" for the year. Yard was nice and crusty, wonder if that is the most winter we will see this year...

Prestige Worldwide
Accumulating snow possible for us on Christmas? Oh yes- let’s bring this one home crew!
Lowershoresadness
when you live in an area that see's little snow you appreciate the times it snows just a little bit more. I would never move just to increase snow. I get what I get and I'm at peace with that

It's possible. Wouldn't count on the post-frontal stuff on X-mas eve. Those typically underperform unless the setup is just right. However, there does seem to be a window on Xmas day proper with the big mid-level vort and very steep low-to-mid level lapse rates. Would be a snow shower type setup with 850mb temps around -15C.
csnavywx
Still looking decent for some snow showers tomorrow for S MD and the eastern shore. Eastern shore might even fare a bit better due to some downstream Bay enhancement. 700mb temps drop wayyyy off to around -20C tomorrow with bay temps still running around 8C. Despite not particularly favorable wind fetch angles (except down the Potomac), could still see some enhancement of snow shower activity.

Prestige Worldwide
Long range indices look great- if true we could be on the precipice of a great winter period during our prime winter climate. It’s time for us to get ours- I hope
