kas80
Nice little snow surprise last night. About an inch in Ches Beach. My snow loving 4 year old was out dancing in it. I am guessing our totals will be much lower (maybe 6 inches?) than DC for the weekend storm but our winds will be higher.

My son wants to go out in it too and build a snowman- he thinks this was the snow I keep telling him about. Had to explain that the real snow is coming soon! My goal is to get at least 8", then I'll be happy - that would be the biggest storm for me since I moved down here. I've had a bunch of 5-7" storms already. PrinceFrederickWx
Ellinwood has probably the most bullish map I've seen for everyone in this thread: http://madusweather.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/20150122-24_MAsnow_initial.png
Topher
Looks great in SOMD! Also if you change the hours to 72 southern maryland and eastern shore get a couple more inches. When we dryslot for a couple hours down here in southern Maryland it looks like it will probably be sleet for hours 51-57 and possibly mixing with sleet a little during hours 48-51. After that it should be all back to snow for the majority of the area.
SOMDweather
I'm in 12-18 on the latest LWX map, you look like you're in 8-12? Yeah that is what it looks like to me...

snowdude
I wonder what model they are using that's basing their change Probably the RPM (tv met model). Plus GFS and NAM showed lots of mixing during 00z runs last night, but shouldn't panic on one run yet.

She will have enough to build a real snowman if she just waits. I would be completely happy with 8. That would be the most for us since we moved here also and this year I have a snow blower. So bring it on Mother Nature!

AlexD
I'm wondering of there is any realistic chance of the storm position being a little more south and east of what is currently predicted, to bring the midshore into the higher snowfall totals? Topher
Euro snow maps show 16" in Salisbury, 20-22 in Calvert and 17-20 in St Mary's. Closest the 850s get is southern Delmarva. Salisbury surface temps do go to 34-35 for a couple hours so not sure if still snow/sleet or Rain.
SabreAce33
Poor snowdude! Two camps it seems. GFS gives a couple of inches and a lot of rain, Euro gives us a bunch of snow with some mixing and rain, but not a ton.
