SnowtoRain
I think I'm sticking with 4", transition to rain, and maybe 1" from coastal as it wraps back in some colder air.
Lowershoresadness
If the Euro keeps heading south we may get a surprise. My expectations ,after a week of tracking this storm, are 0 inches.

Partly cloudy skies throughout our region while Cape Charles gets buried under 12" of snow and your 0" forecast still verifies.

Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk Until that time comes who is the silly one... All jokes aside I think we have all seen enough of these storms to know the usual outcome. The last storm greater then 10" was 2016 where we all waited for the deform band to swing through as advertised and we know what happened. That storm I ended with 11" of snow and 2" of sleet almost all from WAA. Generally, these WAA to coastal type storms have not been the most friendly in recent years, any sniff of ocean air destroys our thermals pretty quickly and then we sit in sinking air as the coastal spins up.
IronTy
I think I forgot how to even deal with snow anymore. I'm still skeptical this is gonna happen. I do like how cold it is this morning to help get the ground cold enough so that anything that does fall doesn't instantly melt like normally seems to happen. diatae
Main thread is fermented garbage lately. They'd have us think it's not snowing on Sunday. I've lurked on this board for 5 years and this is the worst I've seen it. Hurry up snow! *not snowing anywhere
PrinceFrederickWx
I hope the 12z Euro suppresses the sh*t out of this storm - SBY and NHK jackpot

SnowtoRain
So how accurate has the RGEM been recently?
csnavywx
12z runs have been a stepwise improvement so far. We definitely need the southern/suppressed trend to cash in on any backside stuff. While the Euro is kinda out on its own, it's a deadly model to bet against.
CAPE
CMC was a significant improvement. Thermals are much better, although still some warming aloft for a time.
SnowtoRain
With the midday runs , I think my forecast from earlier still stands 4" to rain to dryslot.

csnavywx
Front end might get started earlier than expected. Quite a bit of lift progged with some f-gen and upglide pretty high in the column as early as midnight to 3am Sunday.
csnavywx
That early morning stuff should be higher-ratio powder and lay down a decent coating (as well as saturate the column) before the main WAA shield arrives later in the morning.

Love it when you come and post in the thread. Thank you for your insights. Lowershoresadness
I wouldn't want to forecast this thing. Coastals do weird things under ocean influence.
SnowtoRain
WAA looks good for Charles, St Mary's, and Calvert folks. Hopefully that juice makes it across the bay.

SOMDweather
My parents moved from LaPlata to Frankford, DE about a year ago and always fascinated by the different climate over near the beach. Will be interested to see if they get any snow at all with the upcoming storm in Southern DE.

Wxdavis5784
@PrinceFrederickWx this is my last winter down here... My wife and I sold our home over in PF last summer and we are building a new home just south of Hanover, PA. I work from home 85% of the time and most of my clients are actually in Charm City. Of course I will miss my home, but mom still lives in Charlotte Hall, so I will be visiting frequently still.
