colonel717
Hopefully that dry slot out west fills in. Otherwise we may only sneak out a couple of inches.

Ethel975
We probably have about 2-3 inches of new snow. Seems to be a sleet/snow mix at the moment.
jwilson
I just measured 2" down here so far. Will be interesting to see how long the snow lasts before we changeover in our little "warm slot" locally.
KPITSnow
Looking good right now. Already 2-3 inches, and I'd say at least that much more before any dry slot issues.

Stinkbugspecialist
Can anyone post a simulated radar for next 15 hrs to see dry slot fills in ?????
RitualOfTheTrout
Just measured 1 inch on the sidewalk. Seems those heavier returns keep fizzling out rather than moving North over me. Hopefully they push North over the next hour or so. The snow that has fallen thus far is a very fine, almost sand like flake. Over the last half hour better flakes have started falling though. Roads look to be a mess.
Polar Vortex 2014
Wow. Major warm tongue moving north. Clarksburg, WV went from 17 to 33 in two hours!

Or will dry slot come in next hour and road crews will get it on. What does board think. ?? Should I cancel now. Or. Things should clear up and keep party thanks
CoraopolisWx
Nice rates right now. Walking back from the store, visibility was really low. Even though we might not be in the bullseye, I'm still think we're better off being on the northern edge.

Should see temperatures climb into the 30s which should help melt this snow.

Burghblizz
Wow. Major warm tongue moving north. Clarksburg, WV went from 17 to 33 in two hours! Thats 120 miles south and still near freezing Much more concerned about dry slot. That will determine if it's 3-4" or 6-7"
Stinkbugspecialist
That dry slot looks looks like it's moving to the pa border fast. Is that filling in or is it gonna stop snowing in 1 hr.

RitualOfTheTrout
Its a tough call, even if it quit snowing right now and temperatures shoot up to above freezing its going to take several hours for the roads to get cleared. Don't forget ground temperatures will stay well below freezing for several hours even if air temperatures rise above. Do you pay based on the number of kids that show up? I'd say no matter what you do its not going to end up ideal. I can't delay. A lot people coming and there pre booked.
