RitualOfTheTrout
Well, just finished scanning through the NYC and NE sub-forums.... geez its incredible what those folks are about to experience. I saw one post stating Boston gets 1.2 qpf in 6 hours! Can't help but feel jealous of that.

RitualOfTheTrout
Worst Storm Ever! Greensburg at work got nothing, Home in Ligonier got maybe 3" Glad some made out well, wish it was me. I can vouch for this, Greensburg got little snow at all, maybe an inch if that, and maybe another half inch today. That area has done poorly the last couple of events. I guess its balancing out from the storm last year that they got 6-8 inches and I didn't even have to shovel my sidewalk! I got the day off work despite having an inch or less imby. Crazy what 25 miles north can do sometimes. Driving home was like another world once I got North of Delmont. When I got home I measured a little over 2 inches of new snow since this morning, and its still coming down lightly. Looks like another band about to move through now. That report is from 7AM, and then you had light to moderate snow almost the whole day. I highly doubt when most of the area got 2-3 inches more today, and adding about 500ft in elevation from Greensburg to Donegal. I can't possibly believe there was only 2.5 inches or so. Also, where did you get that report? I can't find anything. Just curious though, did you ever get your roof fixed from the cave in a couple years ago...you mentioned it back on eastern during 2010. CoraopolisWx
Wow, talk about the norlun trough that wouldn't quit. Lol It was modeled, but really didn't think it would actually play out. OT a bit here, but depending on the setup, that 119 corridor gets shafted from time to time. I remember on 2/5/2010 some folks had rain up until about 8pm. Could be a touch of downsloping. Yeah I was just thinking that! You see the models show these long duration light snow scenarios from time to time but usually it fizzles out pretty quickly and you are left with little extra snow. I was just outside with my daughter playing in the snow, I measured about 5.5 new snow, and in the areas that had little melt before this storm up to 9 inches! I'll post some pics tomorrow (left data cord for my phone at work) Snowing pretty steady now, probably pick up another half to 1 inch unless this thing goes all night!
