Actually, looks like some ZR filling in near Wake Forest, Rolesville, and Bunn.... Brick go outside and stare at a sign for like 30 minutes to see if any ice forms!

Wendell up to Rocky Mount can actually get a glaze out of this

...Rain transitioning to freezing rain over wake and Johnston

counties...

At 1035 PM EST...an area of rain and freezing rain was expanding

across the far northeast Piedmont and central coastal plain. While

the area of precipitation has expanded...temperatures have steadily

fallen...to around freezing as of 1030 PM over northern and central

wake and Johnston County. The occurrence of precipitation will cause

temperatures to further cool...into the 28 to 32 degree

range...through 1 am.

Precipitation rates on the western edge of the developing area of

precipitation have ranged from a trace to around five hundredths of

an inch per hour Tue evening...and similar precipitation rates will

translate northward through 1 am. While some of this precipitation

will run off before freezing...ice accrual of a couple of hundredths

of an inch per hour will occur...with locally higher amounts...

particularly and most impactfully on elevated surfaces such as

bridges...overpasses...and trees.

Locations impacted include...

Rolesville...Wendell...Raleigh...Cary...Smithfield...Wake

Forest...Garner...Fuquay-Varina...Clayton...Zebulon...Benson and rdu

international.
