Cold Rain
Mike Maze says there's a Winter Storm Watch coming out soon. It's on like donkey kong. Right doggy! Just said it will include Wake and Durham Cos. Unfortunately for Widre, Chapel Hill is left out.

HKY_WX
Per NWS chat, a Winter Weather Watch will be coming out shortly for portions of eastern NC. RDU got officially 1.29. Seems a bit low, NCSU was completely waterlogged today even after the bulk of the rain. Sent from my iPhone I looked, NAM/RGEM did fairly well from 36 hours our, the GFS was awful at 36 hours out. It got better 12 hours out. The MAG site still has the 06z GFS available. It showed decent precip this morning, probably more than we actually got. I can't believe a we weren't even under a special weather statement for that....at least, I didn't see one. There was a ton of street flooding, like you said. Was .85 at some earlier today Thx. I bet the wsw will be for counties east of wake w/ advisory from there to gso.
NC_WX10
Meh for the triad. Hard to get excited about this. TW I still think that this will over perform. Cad with ice usually over performs in this area, At least in my experiences they have.
superjames1992
The GFS is legitimately obsolete at this point. It won't even exist in a few days.
NCSNOW
The old goofy making one last stand before heading off into retirment. Does it score a coup and throw one more gut punch. Jon
0z PARA isn't that impressive as far as ZR goes for Wake Co. but more impressive south and the NC/SC boarder counties towards CLT. 18z was better for RDU believe it or not.
