87storms
when i heard cars driving by at normal speed this morning at around 7am, i didn't even bother looking out the window.
87storms
NAM is garbage again, awesome. Not modeled bad, but WWA were unnecessary for Montgomery, Howard, Baltimore City/County, and Harford County. snowtown's don't have wwa's for moisture starved systems. usedtobe
It's been snowing here lightly since 10 AM. Maybe i'm up to .30" fr the storm. I finally get a little banding but where is the banding when the precip is actually decent, way up north or last year, way down south in the county with one storm. HighStakes
This reminds me of years ago when it would be snowing lightly and the radar would show nothing and the TV met would say how the radar can't pick up on light precip especially snow. RIC_WX
I think we should enjoy the flizzard while it lasts as no matter the final outcome of this winter, we'll all be sweating and suntanning soon enough. Lots more of those kind of days than these.

Our elevation combined with more distance from the radar then most places is probably to blame. Sometimes it snows with nothing on radar and others it looks like it should and is not. That could be it. Last year on 1/28 with another cold airmass and a southern system that grazed the area the same thing happened. Got a half inch of snow and the radar was basically dry. Fozz
snowtown's don't have wwa's for moisture starved systems. The other day, Hartford had a WWA and schools were shut down. They ended up with 34 degree rain. You'd think that in New England, they wouldn't shut down school unless there's at least a foot of snow, but that's what happened. das
Temp in Clarksburg at 1:45pm is 20.9°F, the high for the day. A cold day, any way you look at it. Very different than here in DC where it is 31°F and all traces of the light snow from this morning are gone.
Lowershoresadness
I saw some white. Heard some pings. Turned to rain. Terps tonight. I'm good
WinterWxLuvr
Actually had what I estimated at nearly 1/4" here. Didn't expect that. As Wvclimo said, a nice winter day. Since it was unofficial, I'll record an 1/8.....or maybe nothing.
