Feel free to delete this if I shouldn't post this.  Just thought since this is a weather board, folks might jump at the chance to work at NOAA.  I am not the hiring manager, but close to them.

We are looking for a .NET Developer for our NOAA JPSS client.  Additional details:

  • Start date is immediate
  • location is Greenbelt MD
  • Clearance is Public Trust

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to help maintain and enhance current systems as well as develop additional custom web-based applications. In addition to supporting web-based applications, the Web Developer position also supports the program’s public website (including development utilizing HTML,

XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery).The work site is the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) office located in Greenbelt, MD near NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

 

Requirements

•5 Years expert-level experience with both building and maintaining web technologies utilizing HTML, .NET/ASP

•5 Years .NET Framework 3.5 experience

•3 Years SharePoint (2010/2013)

•2 Years SQL Server 2000/2005/2008

 

Public Job Description

•User Interface design experience is a plus

•.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, DOM, AJAX

•Extensive application and web testing, troubleshooting and debugging experience

•Experience with Government standards and regulations for websites and web applications (including 508 compliancy)

•Deep understanding of SQL Server 2008 or 2012 (DB Design, Query Optimization, Indexing) using Java JDBC SQL

•Ability to work well as both part of a team and independently

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
