Chicago WX
Too bad it doesn't look to last long, but some big ole dendrites falling right now. Some flakes stuck to other flakes kind of action. IWXwx
Combination of sl**t and snow had me at 2" at 7 AM. This last band could put us right around 3" with a 6" snowpack.

geddyweather
Lets see if this one last blob over IN can finish off a decent system for us. Believe there is just under 3" on the ground, but haven't measured since last night...

Chicago WX
Sounds like a relatively nice score for the MI folks. Nice. Just a mess here. Freezing rain and snow has made for quite the glacier. Glad I don't have to go out in it today. Last gasp snow here right now, and coming down decently.

Chicago WX
Down to a few flakes now. De-iced/snowed the car, so it's not an igloo later. Measured 1.2" of snow here. I'll take it. Before the clean up, morning icicle/snow shot.

Chicago WX
Roads are not fun. At least it was a minimal deicing project for me. Carports are good in situations like this. I bet they are. And I'm too cheap for a carport spot, though it's becoming more appealing all the time.

Spwild47
Thanks I had not thought of that. Definitely had clouds overhead but absolutely no new flakes...noticed the did receive new snow 5 miles south this morning where it showed on both maps..Will check it out Check the scale bar (one may be picking up very light reflectivities like those < 10 dBZ while others are limiting it to significant returns) and also check the scan time. Since it's the same data, one shouldn't be any better than the other except in how the GUI presents the data.
geddyweather
Measured 3.25" here in Columbus Grove as of about an hour ago. 3" all snow, .25" snow/sleet, and a glazing of ice on everything. May be up to 3.5 by now, will have to look again. Hard to measure the snow pack with all the drifting from previous events, but I believe we have about 8" overall. Thunder Road
I'm thinking 3-4" is a good range for down here. Bust. Given model trends today, decided to drop to 2-3". Not that it matters a whole lot... Still bust.
