Was snowing pretty good on way home from work in Toledo to BG. More snow down here however and looks like quite a bit still to go. Good thing we were not under a WWA huh

I thought northern Ohio and the northern tier of Indiana might meet the criteria of a winter weather advisory for this system. I wasn't going to say much about it on this forum unless I thought higher snow totals would be out there in CLE CWA or IWX CWA. Obviously there is not huge confidence in snow amounts over 3".

My crazy azz 3.9 inch call for MBY may still be in play:

HI-RES GUIDANCE TRENDS SUGGEST THAT HEAVIER SNOW OVER FAR WESTERN

IL AND FAR SOUTHEAST IA WILL REINTENSIFY SNOW RATES LATER TONIGHT

AFTER ANY LULL FROM THE INITIAL BAND DIMINISHING/SHIFTING EAST.

TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO THREE INCHES...INCLUDING WHAT HAS

ALREADY FALLEN...ARE EXPECTED. WITH SOME REPORTS OF UPWARDS OF TWO

INCHES NEAR AND NORTH OF I-88...LOCALIZED AMOUNTS APPROACHING 4

INCHES CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

Afternoon guy at LOT did a hell of a job IMHO.

The Chicago FOX affiliate is going 1-3" of LES, just mentioning that the fetch is good and showing whatever their in-house WRF is with a nice band.

I mean, good for them, and I'd love it if it happened, but I highly doubt anyone gets 3".  Even 2" seems like a long shot.

I'm sure you'll be fine. You guys seem to hold onto the cold better on the westside.

Parking lot quickly melting here. Easy commute on the eastside tomorrow morning.  :bike:

lol, what kind of microclimate exists there.  Even here where I am in the less fringy part of LAF I'm not really seeing melting yet (and just went outside to check).

Hard to believe there will be much but these bands sometimes surprise.  Delta Ts between the 900 mb level and the lake are actually pretty decent (getting into the upper teens C with time).  Gonna be a super low topped setup.
