ag3
Already approaching 1.5" here in Queens. Roads are a disaster. Main highways are blanketed and traffic is at a stand still. I think a Winter Weather Advisory is needed.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Getting lighter here now as the visibility went from 1/4 to 1/2 mile. This first 10 miles wide band has been showing up on radar well as it has traversed the area. It definitely contains 1" hour plus rates but doesn't last long

IsentropicLift
Just broke 2" and still snowing moderately. Yeah look at the radar, the back end of the heavy band is at the GWB.
LongBeachSurfFreak
If this would last a few hours we would be in business. As it stands by far best event of the year here. Down 1/10 mile again maybe less I don't want to be dramatic and say white out but it's ripping
ag3
Yeah look at the radar, the back end of the heavy band is at the GWB. I know. Great event here. 2"-3" of snow in only 2 hours. Roads and main highways are a disaster. Rates were same as any MECS/HECS.
IsentropicLift
This was a win for the RGEM and mostly for the NAM although the NAM waivered for a run or two before catching back on. The GFS/GGEM/Euro all failed pretty badly. People don't want to trust the NAM but its higher resolution really gives it an advantage in these setups. It even out did the high res Euro.
