I know. Great event here. 2"-3" of snow in only 2 hours. Roads and main highways are a disaster.

Rates were same as any MECS/HECS.

Yes I agree, it was a nice little event, but with very poor timing. Most of the roads out here are horrendous and my commute was double what it normally is.

If this would last a few hours we would be in business. As it stands by far best event of the year here. Down 1/10 mile again maybe less I don't want to be dramatic and say white out but it's ripping

Yea I'm back to sn+ with 1/4 mile vis.

Yeah. Grand Central Parkway and the Cross Island were completely snow covered during the middle of rush hour. You can just imagine how that went.

This was a win for the RGEM and mostly for the NAM although the NAM waivered for a run or two before catching back on. The GFS/GGEM/Euro all failed pretty badly. People don't want to trust the NAM but its higher resolution really gives it an advantage in these setups. It even out did the high res Euro.

RGEM was a big win for sure.. It pretty much nailed the line & timing

Two photos from Larchmont, NY. 1" fell in about 40 minutes.

Beautiful shots, Don.

Today's heavy snow can be explained by the beautiful 130 to 170 knot jet streak in the Ohio Valley and the Mid Atlantic.

1.8...if NYC reports 0.5 inches again I'll definitely contact Upton, they were wrong the other day, it was 1.0 on the nose

Speaking of Upton not their best work with their mornings AFD for long Island . Total whiff.
