Most members didn't have it snowing until about now, but I'd have to take the under on the SREF at this point.  We'd have to get really lucky with banding.  I figured you'd enjoy that so that's why I posted.

This escalated quickly. Didn't take long to go to 3/4mi vis. My drive home in 15 minutes is gonna rock.

Looks like it may get heavier shortly.

I'm in central MN right now.  Snowed big flakes at a moderate to sometimes heavy rate earlier before noon and we got about 2 inches.  The winds picked up during the snow fall and visibility was decreased to about 1/8 of a mile at one point.  Snow has stopped but the winds are still strong and gusty and there is a lot of blowing snow.  Visibility has increased to about a mile.  I felt good questioning the areal coverage of the blizzard warning earlier as it is now extended for my county.

Meh, it looks like a typical Special Weather Statement to me (DTX's CWA is under one for tonight's snowfall), except they're experimenting with the impact-based warnings/advisories versus the county-wide warnings/advisories...

my wife's a science teacher....I find experiments "interesting-ish"
