jamesnichols89
Yeah 6z NAM had gusts near 70mph, up to 850mb 60 knots, but there is no inversion until 800mb or higher, which means that the winds at 925mb and 850mb could be easily transferred to the surface, 70mph gusts are coming. TauntonBlizzard2013
This event is totally meh for SE mass. As bob notes, winds won't be anything to write home about in this area, and it seems we miss out on any appreciable snow.
dryslot
Starts tomorrow morning and 1-2 will do it. This
bboughton
I might be wrong, but didn't someone get mocked endlessly for saying we'd pick up 1-3" by the end of the week with all the tiny events? Specifically the OES event tomorrow?
SouthCoastMA
I might be wrong, but didn't someone get mocked endlessly for saying we'd pick up 1-3" by the end of the week with all the tiny events? Specifically the OES event tomorrow? Who said that? I know James was expecting 4-6" by Friday. We'll be lucky to get an inch down this way. No model really suggests anything more than that
bboughton
I thought James had said 2-3 over the course of the week. We already have some snow on the ground so wouldn't be surprised to see 2+. Who said that? I know James was expecting 4-6" by Friday. We'll be lucky to get an inch down this way. jamesnichols89
I was going according to the GFS and NAM outputs earlier this week, goes to show you within 5 days is still hard to pinpoint these events.
Baroclinic Zone
I was going according to the GFS and NAM outputs earlier this week, goes to show you within 5 days is still hard to pinpoint these events. You do realize that QPF output is one of the lowest scoring parameters on model output correct?
