HIPPYVALLEY
Jeez, another moderate burst coming through. I may get close to 3"!
SR Airglow
Looks to me like the northern tip of the band is starting to weaken a little? Not good news for BOS north if I'm seeing it right.
WinterWolf
And yes, the heaviest is west of the river no doubt in CT.
powderfreak
Congrats guys...that's a powderfreak nickel and dime special right there in SNE with 1-4" amounts, punctuated by a nice squall of heavy rates and lingering light snow or pulsing showers afterwards. CoastalWx
I respectfully disagree with you, places in CT WILL HAVE 4 inches. It won't last long, but with two inch per hour rates, it doesn't take long to pile up. Disagree except for maybe Norfolk which was always a the hotspot. I mean east of ct river. Could see some lucky 3 spots tho.
Damage In Tolland
This is a really nice event. Litchfield Cty has several reports of 4+ In a winter full of nickels and dimes..you have to cherish each and every one
The 4 Seasons
I'm over an inch right now in less than an hour. Very heavy snow but seems to be lightening up a bit, the heaviest stuff just moved through. I doubt there will be any accurate reports of over 4". 1.5-3 will be common across the state. WinterWolf
Disagree except for maybe Norfolk which was always a the hotspot. I mean east of ct river. Central CT west of the river is doing quite well too. There will be lots of 3+ amounts in this area when it's done.

You guys are acting like it's a KU. If it were widespread 4 after 1-2 then it's a bust. But 2-3 amid a large 1-2 area? Eh.
bristolri_wx
No snow yet here, but the SW wind is howling, and then temp went from 27 to 37 in one hour!!! Wondering if I'll even see snow...? Or maybe some evaporative cooling will kick in once the precip starts?
SR Airglow
Considering most outlets had a coating to an inch for spots that are seeing widespread 2"+ and a decent smattering of 3", it's a bust in the eyes of the public IMO.
Cold Miser
light snow started at 8:20, and quickly turned into heavy.

Absolutely. And that's the only point I was hinting at. And in this winter so far, this by far was the best event imo. And it's been snowing like a KU HERE. Just won't last nowhere near as long lol. In a great winter this wouldn't be a big deal ofcourse, but this year it's a huge deal for many. Enjoy.

Eh.It's like a 0.05-0.10" difference in liquid. lolI wonder if the public can tell the difference between 0.11" and 0.18" of rain. So you wanna be a snow forecaster.....
