Professional Lurker
Spent the morning in Charlemont outside, every now and then there was a mangled flake with lowering overcast. CT Valley Snowman
32/17. Radar looks decent. Wet bulb should get me to 26 or so. Mixing might be delayed until 8 or so here. Wouldn't be shocked if ice held on a bit longer as well.

Typhoon Tip
Looking at the motion on rad -- it's more E than N, N of the Del Marva region over the NE U.S. That's telling.. We are getting nice early waa snow, and it may snow for a few hours.

Typhoon Tip
Im thinking an hour or so after initial radar returns for saturation in my area 2:40 is my call for start up. Obviously you know this ... but it depends on fall rate. I've seen it start snowing at a 20F gap... Actually, I saw beeds of sleet bouncing at 45/10 before... But, yeah, in general, the gap closes to about 80 to 85% RH and a few flits show up in the street lamp, or catch your eye and triggers you to look for it. Thing is, ...this has the look on rad and some modeling as "coming in like a wall" in style. Could be one of those times were at 65% you go from not much to 1/2 mile visibility in the time it takes to do your dishes.
