SnoSki14
At least now it looks and feels like mid winter. This should aid in colder temps.

bluewave
Close to moderate here in Long Beach with nice flake size. We'll be over an inch soon. Same here in Western Nassau as it looks like some ocean enhancement on the long radar loop. http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=OKX-N0Q-1-
ag3
If you guys switch to TEWR or TJFK, long range reflectivity, their lower beams are catching the snow bands better. There are some 25-35dbz returns embedded and that's why some are seeing moderate snow.
LongBeachSurfFreak
Finally got into the nice flakes and legit accumulating snow. Hope this sticks around for a bit.

jm1220
Some of the higher res models were picking up on this inverted trough feature yesterday, it definitely looks like it's coming through in a narrow band. There's a local wind convergence area that's enhancing the snow. Also maybe a small area of sound enhancement along the southern CT coast.
Rjay
Flake size increased over the last hour or so. Mod snow burst at work in Amityville. Less than an inch but getting close. On my home for lunch to get a legit measurement. I'm going to guess .7" for now.

BxWeatherwatcher
Some pretty thick flakes out there. Nearly 2" of snow on the ground. im at 1.8 inches so far, so we will get to 2 inches in half hour or so..as long as more bands redevelop over us i see no reason to start thinking about 3 inches. Juliancolton
If I round to the nearest 0.05, then to the nearest tenth, then compensate for lost depth due to compaction and sublimation, I might be able to call it measurable!

NEXtreme
January is doing what December should've done. Maybe February will act like January? Really? Are you saying 1-3 inches of snow with temps in the upper teens to around 20 during the day around here is what December is like?
