gymengineer
Not sure if this has been discussed yet, but RGEM has a band pass through that gives much of Maryland about 1" tomorrow. Nothing on the NAM. Here's the NAM sim radar tomorrow early morning-- I guess the NAM is counting the southern extent as virga or a trace?
Ian
I don't have a clue what that is showing me.Origin of the airmass
NinjaWarrior2
22 degrees at my nearest PWS. Seems too warm which that station almost never is.

MN Transplant
I don't have a clue what that is showing me. It is a trajectory analysis. Basically, the model is tracing backwards the source of an air parcel to show where it came from. In this case, our airmass was directly from the top of the world. WxUSAF
DCA hit 22, but then dropped back to 21. BWI at 17. They may struggle to hit 20 today. 17 is the record low max for BWI. They'll probably eek above it, but not by much.
mitchnick
for those who visit the OBX, Manteo got down to 16 and Hatteras to 18! gotta' to be record, or near record on some score for those places EDIT: and it was windy so no decoupling
T. August
17 is the record low max for BWI. They'll probably eek above it, but not by much. I think BWI will hit 20F today. HRRR actually shows 22F.
snowfan
I doubt there will be a 5 degree spike in the next few hours. They have about 2 hours to do it. I think BWI will hit 20F today. HRRR actually shows 22F.

T. August
2:00 PM obs: BWI: 19F IAD: 18F DCA: 22F Tonight we'll have to watch for some over-performing cold. Lows dews, no wind, and relatively clear skies should produce some decent temps. HRRR is showing NE MD, N DE in upper-single digits by 7:00 PM. That's overdone though lol. Pretty good warm-air advection overnight, so while we will probably see a drop after sunset, it'll halt and possibly reverse.
snowfan
I suspect we've reached high temps. 19 at BWI and IAD. And I think I saw a 25 at DCA.

NAM/HRRR sim radar show a brief band of virga. Go RGEM! ETA: Duh! Your maps show the same. I only looked at the top 2 panels before posting.
