Seem decent returns trying to make it to the Jacksonville area. NWS Jacksonville mentioned the potential of freezing drizzle tonight for some of our forecast area. metalicwx366
NWS Jacksonville might as well drop the hard freeze warning. Our lows are gonna bust hard tonight here. No way we get to 26. Hell we most likely will not get to freezing. 37 and cloudy.
GaWx
High of only 36 today in the big S after a low of 20. 1/7/14 for comparison: 31/19. So, not real far off. Hopefully, we will have a similar rest of the winter to last winter! The 36 high was only 3 above the low high record and is the 3rd coldest on record for this date going back to the late 1800's. The 20 low is the 2nd coldest on record for the date. The 11 at KATL is the 2nd coldest for the date. KATL's 33/11 made for a mean of only 22, which is 21 below normal and is by 3 F the coldest MJO phase 5 JAN day on record

Solak
Be interesting to see how this plays out overnight in this area.... RAH evening update: A SIGNIFICANT PLUME OF GULF AND GULF STREAM MOISTURE WILL ADVECT OVER OUR REGION THROUGH THE NIGHT WITH WIDESPREAD RAINS EXPECTED THROUGH MID-MORNING... BEFORE TAPERING OFF TO DRIZZLE THEN. QPF OF 0.5 TO 1 INCH APPEARS LIKELY AS SUGGESTED BY THE MOST RECENT MODEL RUNS AND TRENDS.
